Chalet Le Maire is a recently renovated 3-bedroom Chalet located in the Turoa Alpine Village, in a beautiful and peaceful location with parkland surrounds.

This holiday home is great for families wanting to enjoy the snow! The lower level of this chalet features the kitchen, lounge, dining & mudroom/laundry. The lounge flows to a private outdoor deck, spa pool & garden. The mudroom contains ski racks, ski boot heaters and ample space to dry ski & snowboard gear. The bathroom & toilet are also located on this level.

The stairs of this Ohakune chalet led to the mezzanine where there are three bedrooms, two with queen size beds and one with a single bed. There are also two single beds on the mezzanine & a kids chillout spot.

This Ohakune accommodation is approximately a 5 min walk to the Carrot Park and a 10-minute walk to the Ohakune shops. For skiing / boarding, Turoa Ski Resort is a 30-minute drive or Whakapapa Ski Resort is 45 minutes. Apart from skiing and snowboarding, the area offers a wide range of other activities. There are several heritage walkways and mountain biking tracks to explore, a great option to enjoy outside the winter season!

Those looking for a bit more of an adrenaline rush can go jet boating or skydiving at Taupo, white water rafting in the Tongariro River or quad biking at National Park.

Linen: All beds have duvets and pillows. You can either bring your personal linen (sheets, pillowcases, towels etc.) or hire through Ruapehu Chalet Rentals. Your chalet will have bathmat/s and tea-towel/s
You can hire Linen from us – we will make sure this is made up on the beds prior to your arrival.

Linen Hire is a flat rate and not charged per night.
Single $20.00 and Double $25.00 – This includes top and Bottom Sheets, Pillowcases and Towels.

Bathroom – The bathroom features a large rain Shower, Vanity, Mirror as well as a heated towel rail. There is a separate toilet.

Kitchen – This area is recently renovated with quality chattels. There is an under-bench oven as well as a gas cook top. Dishwasher, Rangehood and Fridge/Freezer.

Dining: There is a large wooden table with seating for up to 6.

Lounge: This area is open plan with the kitchen and dining area and features a large L shaped couch as well as a coffee table. This area is heated by a large gas heater.

Entertainment: There is a large Flat screen smart Tv located in the lounge, as well as unlimited WIFI

Heating – There is a large gas heater in the living area

Laundry/Drying Room: This area is set up with a washing machine and dryer, as well as a laundry sink and bench top area. There is also enough room to hang your snow gear and even a boot dryer! This room is perfect for unloading after a day on the slopes.

Parking/outside – There is off street parking for up to 2 cars. Additional on street parking.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:

There is a max of 4 adults at all times. Remaining guests, up to the maximum of 7, are to be children.

Please note: Chalet Le Maire is attached to the house next door and in a very family friendly neighborhood, so guests need to manage noise levels especially in the evenings.

As the mezzanine barrier is below 1 meter high, this property may not be suitable for guests with small children due to the risk of falls
