Super-fresh-organic Food. Friendly Staff. Open 7 days, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Keep an eye on their sandwich board for open hours.

Cyprus Tree Café Restaurant & Bar (06)385-8857 Ohakune’s newest café & bar. Open Monday to Thursday 5pm till late; closed Tuesdays; Friday to Sunday 8am to late for brunch, lunch and dinner and school holidays 7 days 8am till late, focuses on pizzas and authentic and contemporary Italian cuisine; pizzas also available for takeaway; Fully licensed with an extensive wine list, tap and bottled beer. Bookings recommended for evening dining.

Altitude 585 (06)385-9292 On Clyde St, opposite the BP station, the majestic "log-cabin" look. Easy parking. Superb food. Open when you need them to be. Good value meals...Fresh food. Good bar too with big screen TV for all those unmissable sporting events!

The Powderhorn Chateau is a very popular place in town, The Powderhorn was one man's dream and he built it. A good "active" venue...fine for the family or you and friends. Two dining areas as below; (The Powderkeg and The Matterhorn)

The Powderkeg (06) 385-8888 is very active in the evenings with dancing, drinking and dining with a great blackboard menu of lamb shanks, ribs, tacos, pizzas, etc. open for snacks all day every day during the ski season.

The Matterhorn Restaurant (06) 385-8888 is the upstairs bar of the "Keg" has an excellent A-La-Carte and Tapas menu with a great decor and atmosphere to match.

The Fat Pigeon Garden Cafe (06)385-9423 Another place for a very good meal in town, good service, good food. Great lunch, fantastic dinner, they are open everyday during the winter until late." Delicious home baking" fully licensed open 7 days during the ski season.  Selected hours during summer.

"O Bar" (06)385-8268 This is the old original pub that now has a completely refurbished bar and restaurant. Wood-fired Pizzas or A la Carte selection. Great night out.

Turoa Lodge Bar and Restaurant (06)385-8274 another great place in the Junction, large open plan bar and lounge, the restaurant has an excellent menu and wine selection.

Sassi's Bistro (06)385-8758 Open all year round with an A la Carte menu, tasty and delicious meals at a good price.
