4x4 Fun Tours
Take a 4x4 bike tour over some of the Waimarino's highest points (other than Mt Ruapehu). Experience the challenge of riding through exciting shoot, mud, water and bush. The spectacular, panoramic views are breath-taking, ideal photo opportunities. Skeet shooting also available.

Ruapehu Outback Adventures
Horse trek through the splendor of Ruapehu's surrounding forests, parks and reserves. Catering for beginners and kindergarten kids right through to longer backcountry trail rides, including into Tongariro National Park.

The Ohakune Mountain Ride (not available during ski season)
Descend down New Zealand’s highest active volcano. You get driven you up to 1620 metres from where you can descend at your own pace on a specially selected mountain bike. Ride 17 km through a unique landscape of old lava flows, volcanic rock and observe the vegetation change from tiny alpine plants growing in volcanic rock to alpine shrubs and tussock, then stunted mountain beech forest changing to tall mountain beech and ancient podocarp at the lower altitude.
There are several alternative trips available through the winter. Race the Ruatiti downhill, drive out to Horopito car yard and ride back via the railway service road, or ride through the Rangataua Forest Park.

Horseback Riding & Adventures
Offering a variety of rides, including overnight adventures, 'Lazy H' can accommodate for all  riders.  Horses for beginners and for the more experienced riders.
All horses are well trained and experienced.  Riding is in western saddles.
